    Does a saved result update everyone, or only you?

    This is the difference between a tournament that maintains itself and one where you are the update mechanism. If viewers hold a stale copy, every result you enter has to be re-broadcast by hand — a screenshot into a group chat after every match, for the whole day.

  2. 02Decides how many messages you get

    Can spectators follow it with no account and no install?

    Every login screen between a parent and the schedule becomes a message you answer while refereeing. Nobody installs an app for one afternoon, so if the good experience lives in an app, most of your audience will never see it.

    Send the public link to someone not involved and ask them to find a specific team’s next match on their phone, without signing in.

  3. 03Decides whether you finish on time

    Does it schedule against your real courts, or only order matches?

    An ordered fixture list is not a schedule. Without court and time assignment you still do the hard part by hand, and the hard part is the constraint problem: no team in two places, courts kept busy, rest gaps humane.

    Give it your real court count and check whether any team is scheduled twice in the same slot, and whether a court sits idle while another has a queue.

  4. 04Decides whether you can delegate

    Can someone else enter scores without editing the draw?

    If scoring requires your account, every result has to reach you before it reaches anyone else, and you spend the day walking between courts. Sharing your login instead is worse — now a volunteer can redraw the bracket.

    Try to give one person score access and nothing else, then check what else they can reach once they have it.

    Does it run the format your event actually needs?

    Format range matters because of arithmetic, not variety. The same twelve teams are 11 matches as a knockout, 19 as four groups of three, and 66 as a full round robin — the difference between an afternoon and three weekends.

  6. 06Decides the budget conversation

    What does the free tier actually cap, and where is it written?

    A tier described as "for small events" is a surprise waiting for registration night. What you need is a number you can compare against your entry list, plus whether the event count is capped as well as the size.

    Find the exact participant number on the pricing page, then check whether the FAQ and the docs give the same number.

  7. 07Decides whether it survives the handover

    What happens to last year’s event?

    Club and committee events change hands annually. A tool tied to one personal account resets to zero every handover, and the club loses its own record along with it.

  • Double elimination is in development and not live yet. If your event is next weekend and needs a losers bracket scored live, this is not it today — there is a free browser generator for the format on this site in the meantime.
  • Feed-in consolation draws, standard in junior tennis, are the same structural shape and are not live either.
  • Rotating-partner formats — padel Americano and Mexicano — are a different model entirely and are not supported.
  • Ball-by-ball or point-by-point live scoreboards. Tournamyx records match results and standings, not a live 40–30 or a cricket scorebook.
  • Registration, payments and entry fees are not part of the product — bring your own form.
