Tournaments of up to 8 players are free forever, with no limit on how many you run and no credit card to start. That covers a lot of real sport outright: club nights, internal ladders, five-a-side between departments, a knockout between eight badminton pairs. Every format is available on it — nothing is held back for paid plans except size.

The free plan carries a “Powered by Tournamyx” line on public pages. That is the whole of the cost, and it is stated here rather than discovered later. Above 8 players, Plus is $19 a month for up to 64 and Pro is $49 for up to 256, both cheaper billed annually; the pricing page has the current tiers.

A single $9 payment unlocks one event for 30 days at up to 64 players. There is no subscription attached to it and nothing to remember to cancel, which is the right shape for an annual tournament, a one-off charity cup, or a committee that wants to try the paid tier on a real event before arguing about a budget line.

It is easy to miss because it is not a tier, so it is worth stating plainly: if you run one big event a year and small ones the rest of the time, the honest answer is $9 a year plus the free plan, not a subscription.

The public link is the part that changes an event day. Every Tournamyx event publishes one URL with no login and no install, carrying the schedule, the live bracket or table, and every result as it lands. Captains check their own next match on it instead of messaging you, which at twenty-four teams is the difference between running the event and answering questions about it all day.

Underneath that, fixtures are assigned across your real court or pitch count a round at a time, stages chain so group qualifiers are seeded into the knockout automatically, and schedules and blank scoresheets export as print-ready PDFs for the referees and the desk.
