Roles and grants
The person who creates an organization is its owner. The owner adds other people by username and makes each one an admin or a member. A member can open only what you grant them.
For every tournament, and for every event, you tick whether that person can edit it, score it, or both. Edit is for people who change the setup. Score is for people standing at a court with a phone.
A day with one scorer per court
For an eight-court day, you could have eight scorekeepers who can score the tournament and nothing else. Each one enters the results for their own court. Every result goes into the same schedule and the same tables. There is no spreadsheet to merge at the end.
You keep edit access. A late change to the schedule is made once, and everyone sees it.
Team seats by plan
A seat is one person in your organization. The number of seats goes up with the plan. How many tournaments you run does not change it. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
Team seats in an organization
| Plan | Team seats |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Plus | 5 |
| Pro | 20 |
What it does not do
- Permissions are per tournament and per event, not per court. Someone who can score a tournament can score any court in it.
- The Free plan has 1 seat, so a second scorekeeper needs Plus or Pro.
Questions
How do I add a scorekeeper to my tournament?
Open your organization in Tournamyx, add the person by username, make them a member, and tick scoring access for the tournaments they will work on. They can then enter results from their own device.
Can a scorekeeper change the schedule, or only enter results?
Only what you grant. In Tournamyx, edit access and scoring access are separate ticks, so a scorekeeper with scoring access alone can enter results but cannot change the setup.
How many scorekeepers can I have on each plan?
Tournamyx gives an organization 1 seat on Free, 5 on Plus and 20 on Pro. A seat is a person in the organization, and it is separate from how many tournaments you run.
