How long a basketball round robin takes
The clock is set by the match. In basketball, a 5v5 game of four eight-minute quarters, with the breaks and the warm-up, occupies a court for about fifty minutes, so this page uses 50-minute slots. Rounds are played one after another and a round cannot overlap itself, because a team would be in two matches at once. That means the run time is the sum of the slots each round needs, not the number of matches divided by the courts.
