In brief
What is a badminton score sheet?
A badminton score sheet is a one-match form that records the court, the time, both players, the score of every game, the winner and a signature from each side. The Tournamyx badminton score sheet opens with three games per match and prints one sheet for every fixture, on A4 or US Letter.
Every generator on Tournamyx is free and needs no account. Running the same event live, with scores, standings and a public link, happens at scores.tournamyx.com, free for up to 8 players.
Badminton score sheet at a glance
- Makes
- One sheet per match with a box for each of three games, one, two or four to a page, with an optional 10% of blank spares
- Best for
- A badminton referee or results desk that needs a signed paper record, at a venue where a phone is not the only plan for results
- Price
- Free, with no usage limit, because the generator on this page is not metered
- Account needed
- Nothing to sign up for and nothing to install
- Data stored
- Nothing. The generator runs in your browser, and closing the tab discards the draw
- Largest field
- Up to 120 sheets in one print, one match per sheet
- Where it stops
- It is a simple record of the match, not an official federation scoresheet, and a paper sheet is not a standings table. Results still have to be added up somewhere, and Tournamyx Scores does that live from a phone at the court
- Live version
- Tournamyx Scores runs the same event live, free for up to 8 players, with a public link spectators open without an account

Field guide
What a badminton score sheet records
A game is played to 21 points and won by two, with a cap at 30, and the match is the best of three games. The sheet gives every game its own box on both sides, so the sheet shows how the match was won as well as who won it. A table is usually ranked on matches won, then games won, then points. Each game has its own box so those can be worked out from the sheets.
Each sheet carries a match number, a court, a time, both players, a winner line and three signature lines. The signatures do the real work: a result a captain has signed is much harder to dispute an hour later. Keep every sheet until your protest window has closed. The rules template has a clause for that window.

Print one sheet for every match plus ten per cent spares, rounded up, so a spoiled sheet is not a crisis. The counts below are for players in a round robin or a single elimination bracket. At two sheets to a page, halve the number of sheets for the number of pages.

From the paper sheet to live results

For a sheet that is not tied to one sport, the printable tournament score sheet opens on one score. See badminton tournament software for results that update live on one link.

How many games does a badminton score sheet need?
